You can search using keywords in the Search box or perform a more directed search using the field filters and the Search Builder. The search box on the Home Page and the Contracts Table checks for keywords across both the structured data as well as the contract language in the PDF.
Home
Find the Search box on the upper right.
Contracts Table
Find the Search box above the table.
Find the filters on the left.
Expand/collapse the view by clicking on the arrow in the tab
If your contract is still pending review by Knowable, you are still able to search the underlying contract language via the search box.
Keyword Search
KI searches both the structured data and the contract language in the PDF.
- Searches return partial matches along with exact matches to your search terms
- KI uses a sorting algorithm to return the most relevant search results first (assuming no other sorting has been applied to the Contract Grid)
Important Note: If you want to search for specific values or contract text, use quotations to search for the exact match
Note: For the best results on ID number searches, use quotation marks.
Search Builder
In addition to quotes for phrase matching, you can now use OR, AND, and parenthesis.
NOTE: You must follow the exact syntax (spelling & capitalization) for the system to apply these new connectors to search.
- Click on the “Search Builder” tab in the Filter Panel to start a new search.
- Can be used as an additional search on top of a filter search.
- The first step to building a new search is to make a Group Connector selection in the first dropdown
- “match all” applies the AND Connector between groups
- “match any” applies the OR Connector between groups
- If your search only needs one group, don’t worry about making a Group Connector selection.
- You can also change the selection anytime after making your selection and hitting Search to update the Search Builder
- Use the “Match all” “Match any” drop down selection to set your Connector between search terms in a group
- Use quotes to apply an exact phrase match to your search
- Add more groups by selecting the “Add Groups” button
- The Search Builder supports up to 6 Group selections for your search
- Select “Reset Form” to clear all the criteria and reset your groups
- Hit “Search” to search your contract data and text
The Search Builder will add your search query into the Search Bar
- You can adjust your criteria after hitting Search in the Search Builder
- Those changes are not reflected in the Search Builder
