Family & Related Contracts

A Family is a collection of documents that all refer to (“relate to”) the same agreement. The most common structure is a high-level Master/Base Agreement with associated amendments, statements of work, or other related contract documents.

When viewing a document on the Contract Details page, you can access its Family in the “Related Contracts” panel on the right or in the Family View. Click on any selection in the panel to view that document and its associated data. 

Choose to view your contract family via a:

• Hierarchy view  - to understand how documents are related

• List view - to sort and locate agreements more easily

View the Document Title, Document Type, and Effective Date in both views to help you identify particular agreements in the family.

• In the Hierarchy view, the documents are sorted by Document Type and Effective Date - the document with the oldest Effective Date is the first (top) document under the document to which it relates

• Sort in the List view by Document Title, Effective Date or Document Type

• Quickly see the number of agreements in a family in the top Related Contracts for large families
